Who We Are

We are a Charitable Trust supporting Trans people (Transgender, Nonbinary, Trans-Intersex, Irawhiti, MVPFAFF, and more). Our staff includes providers with lived experience. Gender Dynamix respects and works in partnership with the spirit of Te Tiriti o Waitangi through mana enhancing practices.

Detailed list of communities supported: Transgender, Nonbinary, Trans-Intersex, Irawhiti, and the Pacific identities of Māhū, Vakasalewalewa, Palopa, Fa'afafine, Akava'ine, Fakafifine, and Fakaleiti.

Our Goal

We are a charitable trust supporting Trans people (Transgender, Nonbinary, Trans-Intersex, Irawhiti, MVPFAFF, and more). Our staff includes providers with lived experience, ensuring our care is authentic and peer-driven.


To support our community, we offer:

  • Individual mental health support and gender exploration
  • Peer-driven group therapy and peer support
  • Whānau support
  • Community and provider education

Gender Dynamix works in partnership with the spirit of Te Tiriti o Waitangi through mana enhancing practices and respect for tāngata whenua.


We incorporate the Te Whare Tapa Whā and Te Whare Takatāpui model of care into our treatment framework. Cultural support and interpreters for any language are available upon request to ensure every client's needs are met and honoured.

Our Mission

Our mission is to provide evidence based, best practice, community oriented mental health related services to TGDNBT people and their whānau, responding to mild to moderate mental health conditions in a manner that is culturally responsive. We do this through: -Support groups led by a registered clinician and gender diverse peer support specialist -Individualized treatment plans -Short term clinical intervention -One-on-one peer support -Liaison with medical providers -Referrals -Clinical and community education -Community events

Our Vision

Our vision is of a thriving and inclusive community where transgender, gender diverse, non-binary and takatāpui(T G D N B T), Individuals are fully self actualized, living comfortably, and safely in accordance with their true gender identities. We envision a world where their transitional needs are comprehensively met, ensuring access to necessary medical, psychological, and social support services. In this ideal community T G D N B T Individuals are surrounded by supportive whānau, friends and allies - who understand, respect and celebrate their identities. This support network fosters a nurturing environment, empowering individuals to achieve their full potential and lead fulfilling lives, free from discrimination and prejudice.
